Rock the Vote...

So much of our energy has been spent on the editing/mixing of our new album, booking summer shows, radio tracking, connecting with other reggae-rock bands across Canada and reaching out to folks within the industry that we've barely had time to maintain this page and keep up to date with fans and new friends of the Fox Seeds variety.
Shame on us!
The bottom line is we're doing all of this for all of you and in due time will have the critical mass behind our music to focus on the only things that matter- creating it and interacting with those whose support and attention define our success.
In the mean time, many thanks to everybody who contributed their vote in round one of Seeds...here's hoping we can keep the drive alive going into our June 9 Cage Match!
'Quatch Rock-It...

A brief apology to all of you who've been voting, messaging, friend requesting and otherwise vibing on our music over the last 4 days.
We'd planned to attend Sasquatch at The Gorge in Washington since long before any of the Seeds tracks were even tracked and tragic as the timing was (we only found out we'd make Top 20 through the congratulatory text messages of another band) our commitment to see such remarkable artistic forces as Ben Harper, Kings of Leon, Trent Reznor, Erykah Badu, Girl Talk, Bon Iver and Streetsweeper Social Club (to name a few) simply couldn't be broken.
We're back now and in full effect so message at will- we'll be doing the same!

Hello fine fans, friends (and foes j/j) of the Seeds 2009 variety!
This concept of posting profiles on the CFOX site is brilliant...I've heard that as many as 400 bands submit every year and to think that of those only 20 have the opportunity to reach Fox listeners is a true shame.
Competitions of this magnitude are rare and of all the rock stations in Canada CFOX is the only one with such an illustrous tradition. Unlike in the sporting world, artists seldom get the opportunity to duke it out head-to-head for cred and success and while music will always be among the most subjective of forces it's refreshing for all of us red-blooded rockers to step up and represent our years of passionate struggle.
This has got to be the most exciting time of year for independent bands in Vancouver and we're just glad to be a part of the opening stages.
We'll admit to having submitted on the last day at the 11th hour...since Mark joined in mid March we've had precious little time to build chemistry, write new songs and rearrange our lives to accommodate the creation of a new album.
As it is we only got our 3 Seeds tracks to the mixing stage on May 12 and finished mastering at 3pm on Friday the 15th. Talk about cutting it close.
That said, we're very proud of what we've done and came out of the gate strong at Richard's on Richards on May 8- where we played our first gig to a crowd of 400.
Whether or not we make it on Friday, this is a determined band driven to succeed and fixated on delivering the music we love to audiences worldwide.
