Kaz Piech (born in Vancouver, Canada) is a guitarist/singer songwriter/actor/artist. He began playing guitar at the age of 13 and found his talent in poetry, acting, painting and music. In his early twenties he graduated with an acting diploma and his craft as an artist began taking form winning theatre competitions and poetry nominations. In 2006 Kaz's songs landed him 4 awards as a Runner-up Category for "Eyes on Ice" March 2006, Finalist Rock Category September 2006 for "Miles Away", Honorable Mention for "Paradise Lost" November 2006, and Suggested Artist for December 2006 awards received from the international song of the year competition judged by Grammy award winning judges. He began his career as a solo act performing his music around the local music scene in the lower mainland in 2006. Kaz debut with his first solo album "Unknown Artist" which he released independently in 2006 and then released his second solo album "Truthful Melody" in 2007. That same year he formed a rock band called "The KazBand" with Mark Nhu on drums and Matt Do on bass playing together around town and landing a few high profile gigs at Stanley Park, Richmond Night Market, The Palms Bar In L.A.,and the Richmond winter festival which included the countdown to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in 2008. After a year of playing the KazBand split up and Kaz went back to pursuing his solo career.
